What we collect

Nothing. ContextCoach does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. The developer receives no information about you, your conversations, or your usage of the extension beyond the aggregate install and uninstall counts provided by the Chrome Web Store to all developers.

What the extension reads locally

To estimate token counts, ContextCoach reads the text content of the current page in your browser — specifically the messages in your open Claude.ai or ChatGPT conversation. This content is processed entirely within your browser and is never sent anywhere. It is not logged, stored, or shared.

Local storage

ContextCoach uses Chrome’s built-in chrome.storage API to save your preferences (such as any threshold settings) locally on your device. This data stays on your device and is not accessible to the developer.

Network requests

The extension makes no outbound network requests of any kind. There is no analytics, no telemetry, no version-check ping, and no backend server. All processing happens locally in your browser.

Permissions

ContextCoach requests the following Chrome permissions:

Third parties

ContextCoach does not share data with any third party because no data is collected in the first place. The extension does not include any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking code.

Children

ContextCoach is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially — for example, if a future version of the extension introduces a paid tier that involves a backend — this page will be updated and the effective date revised. Continued use of the extension after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
