We’re obviously not in a time of high empathy.
A lot of cheering for other people’s pain.
But that approach to life is, in the end, a choice.
This is a good take on our situation from a Happiness researcher.
Lots of not surprising stuff — like the idea that you can’t control others, only yourself (which appears in many schools of thought and therapy).
But this is a good reminder that we can choose to be kinder and connect with others more.
Someone wise said, Joy is resistance.
